RacingVictim @overbreaker28 If the encoder fits then it would work without any problem. For now I wouldn't know if it fits, I haven't had a DF GT steering wheel opened up before. I have heard that there were 2 versions of encoders on this wheel, 1e a version that was driven by a small gear and the 2e version is the same as the g25/27 60slot. RacingVictim @wildchild1449 The encoder is just as strong as the original but it will not crack over time like the original does. The black marker you have to do your self, I recommend you install the encoder first and then spin it round when you mark it.

RacingVictim @ricardomcsilva I recommend the encoder type that you have in your FFB wheel may it be 30 or 60 slot. The 44 slot or any other variation is only for wheels with modified drive ratio, example: changing drive ratio by belt drive mod.

RacingVictim @olundin99@olundin99 you don't have to worry about that, this material won't dry out and break like the original does. In theory the 44slot would keep it more precise than the 30slot.

RacingVictim @olundin99 You will lose some precision, not anything noticeable. 44 slot is more suited for printing and is less likely to brake when installing the encoder. For comparison the newer versions use 30 slot encoder and works fine.

RacingVictim @jaffa314 I can make you a 135 slot encoder for the 400deg. The sensor has to move outward to make it fit, can you make this your self or would you like me to make a bracket for that too?

RacingVictim @jaffa314 I would hope it will be more precise but no, it will decrease steering angle. The wheel calibrates right to left and than knows the center after that it counts the steps it takes to get to full lock. Resoult of 360 slot encoder will be about 150deg instead of 900deg
