Hey New York based designers! Want a chance to have your work featured in the coolest design store ever? Well, now’s your chance as the MoMA Design Store is having an open call for designers. They are interested in innovative use of materials, which, as a 3D designer, you already do!

They are looking for a variety of products: desk toys, jewelry, gadgets, games and even furniture – things we have a lot of in the Shapeways Shops.

Here are some quick some tips, which work whenever you’re submitting products to a store:

Tell the story of your design: Why is it cool? Why would it fit in the MoMa Store?

Take three good photos: One wide, one close up and one of the product in use.

Establish a wholesale price: Work out which of your products fits. Stores usually double the wholesale price to get their retail price. MoMa is looking for products whose wholesale price is around $35 (meaning it would retail for about $70-$80)

Submissions are due by the 30th June and I encourage you all to submit your best!
