Shapeways community member Aaron Trocola is running 3D Ninja Boot Camp, a primer for all sorts of 3D knowledge you will need if you plan to develop advanced 3D skills. It will introduce some of the concepts related to 3D printing and 3D scanning, and survey the field of 3D modeling programs and file formats. You will receive a hard-copy of the course material and a data disc with lots of 3D models, 3D scan data and other goodies.
If you have been holding out on learning useful tools like Meshlab, this is your chance to get a concise introduction to all the basics in less than two hours. The class also includes a live demonstration of 3D laser scanning with a Next Engine 3D scanner, and is taught by an experienced industry professional Aaron Trocola.
