Organogenesis Models

Print models of tomographically scanned developing organs and tissues. The process of organ development is called organogenesis, and the study of this process provides a fundamental understanding for how organs form, and then work.
About
These models are provided to educate and inform the wider public about the importance of development. In particular, organogenesis is a vastly complex and mainly unmapped process. Having high quality data to study these processes aids the understanding of the events which orchestrate to form the organs of the body. The models available here are assembled from reconstructions of scans performed using Optical Projection Tomography.

It is important to state that the data used to generate these models has already played an important part in studies relating to the understanding of human diseases and the data from those studies is "recycled" here for educational purposes.
