Product Description
The Panhard EBR is an armoured car originally designed for the French army during WWII but only saw actual production after the end of the war. Initial models were outfitted with a 75 mm low velocity gun and later models with a 90 mm version. Notable is the fact that the EBR has an oscillating turret which allows for a smaller turret that conventional turret designs. Its secondary armament are three 7.62 (.30 cal) machine guns. It has a crew of four: forward driver, commander, gunner, and rearward driver/radioman. It has a 4x4 wheel drive, which can be upgraded to 8x8 by lowering two additional sets of wheels, if the terrain conditions require it. It has a 200 hp engine capable of achieving road speeds of 100 kmh. Prime users were the French army in Algeria and the Portuguese army during their bush wars in Angola, Mozambique, and Guinea.
