Product Description
Lighght and the 'm' with an extra bump are two of the shortest poems ever written. Despite being tiny, they pack a symbolic punch.
Lighght: say it aloud, now: liiiiiiit. Or, perhaps, li-G-it. Either way, it calls attention to the strange silence that is created by letters on the page, but not recognised in speech. Also, by putting more nothing into the word, the artist Aram Saroyan makes 'light' itself lighter and airier to say.
The 'm' with an extra bump can also be interpreted a few ways. Is it an 'n' spltting off of an 'm', similar to the process of mitosis, commenting on how language can seem almost biotic? Or is it an 'm' splitting off from an 'I', showing the way in which your apperache can split from your true self?
By putting these two poems in the same object, I (with permission from Mr. Saroyan,) have bundled these many complicated concepts into one similarly complicated-looking object. Other sizes and shapes of these poems are availble in my shop.
