The original handle of the KC-02 is some sort of cast metal and isn't terribly strong, ergonomic, or stylish. This part enhances all of these aspects. It's stainless steel construction increases its durability, and the design makes it easier to use and gives it a fantastic new look. If the H&K style isn't for you, I have many other designs to choose from. Custom design comissions are available occasionally, but are accepted and priced on a case by case basis.
All of the handles are 3D printed and because of this I recommend a little bit of prep work be done on a new part before installation in order to smooth out its operation as well as keep the stock parts from wearing prematurely.
My recommendation is to use a 9/64 in (~3.5 mm) drill bit and clean the hole, then take some fine grit sand paper and wrap it around a punch or any other dowel like implement to polish the inside. The drill can be useful for speeding up this step if you be careful not to take it too far.
