I don't know about you, but a great shot of espresso can make me feel over the moon! To capture that feeling, I created the Moon Shot Espresso Cup. The outer surface is covered with a scaled height map of the moon, based on real lunar survey data. At last, you can contemplate the craters and plains of the moon while sipping your cup of rocket fuel. The cup holds about 2.5 fl oz (73 ml) of the Good Stuff.
Printed in porcelain, the cups are perfectly safe for drinking. If you want you can order a (non-foodsafe) plastic one, or if you want to splurge go ahead and choose platinum.
The story of the Moon Shot cup starts with a failed attempt to 3D print it using the older Shapeways ceramic process. That led to a project to cast it by hand from a 3D printed plastic positive. Later, I produced a new version as a test of the awesome new Shapeways porcelain process. That version was too big; the one available here is espresso-cup-sized. (Drop me a line if you're interested in a larger version.) A few additional details can be found on my blog.
