Product Description
An O scale, 3D model based on the Mckenzie and Holland Type 2 signal box as used by the North Staffordshire Railway Company. This model is based on the "Cheddleton Yard" signal box, prior to preserved on the Churnet Valley Railway, with original stair and porch orientation. It has no name so can be painted in NSR, LMS or BR Colours for whereever you chose to place it. EL71B will complete this special 40th Anniversary model with name plates and finials - 40 years in preservation 1977-2017.
The model comes as :- Base with small wooden door for the interlocking room and electric box on opposite wall, Wooden cabin structure, two internal roof beams, internal door, internal roof, external roof, stove pipe and porch and staircase & 4 posable windows. (13 parts in total)
Instructions
The Wooden part of the box sits on top of the brick section.
The stairs\porch will be placed up to the body of the building. The door can be positioned as you
wish.
Detail the interior as you see fit with frame, stove and instrument block shelf of your
choice/construction.
Slot in the support beam(s) and slide in the false roof.
Place the main roof over the top and slide in the chimney. Adjust to suit, but the top should be
below the roof ridge line.
You may wish to use a small bit of tin foil to replicate the lead flashing capping the tiles on the
Cheddleton/Elton porch roof – see photos on Google for reference. Paint in your chosen colours.
