Product Description
An N-scale , bonnet style, locomotive spark arrestor of the type commonly found on wood burning locomotives of the mid 19th century. In particular, this stack was based heavily off of that of the Baltimore & Ohio locomotive #25 "William Mason", which took part during the U.S. Civil War and, in its restored state, has served such movie roles as the "Wanderer" in Wild WIld West as well as a stand in for the famous "General" in The Great Locomotive Chase. This stack was designed to be a direct drop-on replacement for the Atlas 4-4-0, and will serve to slightly backdate its appearance. This said, my stack can also be made to fit the Bachmann series 4-4-0 by shortening the existing stack to nearly level with the top of the boiler and inserting an appropriately sized pin. I certainly hope you find as much enjoyment from this simple modification as I have on my own layout.
