7mm/ft 1:43.5 scale model railbuilt buffer stop from the 1972 catalogue of Thos W Ward Ltd, Railway Sidings Division, Albion Works, Sheffield. There is no doubt that such designs were used by many railways for a number of years before this date. The design is ideal for modellers as it allows the maximum use of siding length.
This is a kit of parts requiring the builder to provide a wooden crossbeam (approx 8ft x 14in x 7in,
these items are ideal); some glue and paint. The rendered images show in pink the items included in the kit -- all other items must be provided by the builder.
Note that this item is designed to be used alongside the injection-moulded ABS chairs and code 125 bullhead rail produced by
C&L.
