Product Description
NOTE: This is a kit and it has been divided up, the HULL here, the SAIL and accoutrements here. Though note I'm offering either the AIP hull length (57.5 m, HSwMS Näcken) or the standard (49.5 m) diesel-electric hull. However, you'll need BOTH, the SAIL and choice of HULL length, in order to complete this kit. I did this to reduce the price. Yes, it's annoying, but it's a minor inconvienience and only requires you add both elements to your cart.
In 1987 HSwMS Näcken was converted to Air Independant Propulsion (AIP). This was done by inserting an 8 m long hull section aft of the sail, increasing the hull lenth to 57.5 m.
Displacing 1130 tons submerged, the HSwMS Näcken is 57.5 m long and has a draft of 5.5 m. 6 x 533 mm and 2 x 400 mm mine tubes are in the bow. She has a complement of 24 sailors.
This is a full assembly kit model.
