This is a secret cabinet coverd by a full functioned 3d combination lock.
Similar to Oskar's treasure box, this cabinet looks and works exactly a normal 3x3x3 Rubik's cube does, but it is openable.
Instead of separating the top layer from the bottom two, this cube could be opened by pulling out a center part (green) as a drawer and keeping all the part as a whole.
Among all the 4.33e19 combinations of a 3x3x3 rubik cube, there is only one that could allow the drawer to be pulled out. This combination is called the matching pattern.
When the cube is at the open mold, it still can be twisted freely, but when it is closed again, the last patter before closing will be the new matching pattern, the cube could only be opened at this pattern for the next time.
With this function, the cube itself could also be considered as a 3D combination lock with 4.33e19 combinations, which is nearly impossible to be unlocked unless force open or disassemble.
Checkout the video on how to change the matching pattern from the solved state to the easy checkerboard pattern.
To Buyers:
- Sticker is not included. You need to order separatly from sticker shop.
- There is only one right way to assembly the part. By right you don't have chance to make mistake. Think carefully of the sequence on putting them together first.
- Most of the joint would be very tight as there is size and shape printing deviation from the design as well as remaining semi sintered powders. Turn or slide each other to make sure they could all move smoothly before you fully assemble them.
