If you're looking to install one of the older Commodore 64 "Long" boards into a more modern Commodore 64c slim case, or one of the new Kickstarter Commodore cases, these are the keyboard brackets that you'll need to make it a reality.
This is the LEFT and RIGHT keyboard mounts designed to work with the Commodore long boards and the modern slim Commodore cases, be it the original factory white case, or any of the more recent Commodore 64c kickstarter cases.
The reason these brackets differ from the 64c brackets is that the long board doesn't have a hole where the short board brackets expect one to be. Instead, this longer bracket ties into the front and rear board mounts (beneath the board). This left bracket is extremely stable.
The right bracket also differs in that the capacitors impede the use of the short board brackets. This bracket has been altered to work around the components found on the Commodore long boards.
The primary reason for the creation of this is the kickstarter 64c case, and a need for keyboard support brackets. These brackets use standard #6 screws that can be found at any hardware store.
This bracket is compatible with Commodore 64 long boards when installing them in the modern slim 64c and kickstarter Commodore cases.
These brackets are also compatible with short boards.
