Q: I want to ask you a question, but the "Contact the Designer" button says I'm not authorized, how do I contact you?

Finish Questions
Q: What is the difference between the Processed, Premium, Smooth, and MJF PA12 material in your Cherry Keeper?
A: 3D printing leaves a soft texture on every print and each of the finishing options offers a benefit over a raw 3D print. Processed and Premium options will have the part tumbled in a media tumbler to remove bits of texture and rough spots on the part, with the only difference being the length of time they are in the machine. Processed is best described as the texture of an egg shell while Premium plastic still has a slight texture, but it should be slightly smoother, meaning skin will glide across it a little easier. The Smooth finish is a chemical vapor process that chemically "melts" the outer surface of the part and leaves an extremely smooth finish that's also water-tight and highly glossy. MJF PA12 parts are printed at a finer layer height, and offers a finish that is fairly smooth without any post-processing. Shapeways goes into detail on those questions here:

Q: Can I make the cage or ring smoother in any way?
A: For any finish that is not the Smooth finish option, I do recommend giving it a sand if you're sensitive to the roughness or just want it smoother. 10-15 minutes with 600-800 grit wet sandpaper on the ring can make a world of difference. Do note that this may dull or remove the color in the sanded area. If appearance is of utmost concern, I recommend ordering in white, performing the finish work and then dyeing it yourself using a product like RIT DyeMore.

Q: What finish should I order?
A: The finish you order should be based on what you want out of your experience in chastity. If you are still learning what size and features work for you, or if you've got a little more experience and know what works for you, but you're not planning wearing the cage for long stretches of time, order the Processed finish or MJF PA12. If you want to go long stretches of time or just want to treat yourself to the best experience possible, I highly recommend the Smooth finish.

Q: A Note about Allergies and Skin Sensitivity
A: Some customers have reported incidents of swelling or itching when wearing a Cherry Keeper. What I have found through customer feedback and research is that it's usually not the material itself; Most every time a customer has had this sort of reaction, it is the color dye. In 95% of circumstances, Black was the color reported to cause the problem, and while there are other possible factors at play, including lubricant used, and the change in hygiene required (even if you are good about it, it can still happen), but dye allergies do exist, and most people are caught by surprise when it happens. If you notice swelling, itching, or inflamation, please discontinue use of the cage and note if the symptoms disappear. If they do not, or they are severe, get the advice of a qualified medical professional. Fortunately, Cherry Keepers are offered in a rainbow of colors, and we offer plain white and light colors like yellow or pink for customers who discover they have a dye allergy.

Order Questions
Q: When will I get my order?
A: The Shapeways website gives your that information once you put in your address - it allows you to pay for priority printing and/or shipping to expedite your order if you want it sooner than the expected date they provide you.

Q: Is the shipping discrete?
A: Shapeways sends any item you order from them comes in a box that says "Shapeways" - it's about as revealing of its contents as a box labelled "Amazon"

Q:I received the wrong item in my shipment, what do I do?
A: Please double check your order, and if the product that was delivered does not match what you ordered, please get in touch with Shapeways support and let them know that the wrong item was sent to you. Please use the contact link on the support page for wrong items in order.

Q: If I place an order, can you make changes to it before you send it to me?
A: No. Shapeways is automated, the design you order is exactly what you will receive. Items do not come from me, or to me to where I can make changes after the order. If you want something different than what you see, message me regarding a customization/different size ring/custom size cage - all of those need to be designed before they can be ordered.

Q: Can you cancel or change my order after I place it?
A: No.  Shapeways is who you need to work with if you've placed an order - you may be able to cancel an order if it is not yet in production, but you would have to reach out to them.  Please use the contact link on the support page for wrong items in order.

Ring Questions
Q: There are dimensions on pages, but what I have doesn't match exactly - what's up with that?
A: 3D printing Nylon has some variance in accuracy: ± 0.15mm, then ± 0.15% of longest axis. Please use measurements as a starting point and relative to other pieces within the shop.

Q: What is the Ball Hook on Rings for?
A: A Ball Hook on a ring is typically a matter of preference. The Ball Hook separates the testicles, and makes the area less roomy. That can be an advantage or a disadvantage, it depends on the wearer and their preferences. Other uses for it are limited only by your imagination..

Q: Why Would I choose a Double or Triple ring?
A: Single, Double, or Triple - it's up to your preference. The double adds a bit of length to the cage, but it also has a wider contact patch with the skin which can be good for some people as it has a less pinpoint pressure point. It can also provide more "grip" on the skin and the skin may slide through a bit less. On the downside, it may push the testicles a bit more forward than a single ring as there is less skin to allow them to droop.

A: What size ring should I choose with the Innie?
A: For the Cherry Keeper Innie, I recommend going up 6-8mm from the ring size you would wear with a more traditional cage design. I would not recommend a highly angled ring at all, but do consider one with the Love Handles on it to ease the burden of adding a strap and holding it tight against the wearers body.
