You can now select LARGE, SMALL or EXTRA SMALL badge. The large badge is about 122mm cross and smaller is about half of it and extra small is about 35mm cross. The larger badge has also 'LIMITED' text, which was removed from the smaller badge as the limited text might be too small for printing.
If you are modelling e.g. RMS Titanic you might want this badge near your Titanic stand.
In this badge there is a text: '
SHIPBUILDERS & ENGINEERS'
NOTE: the
EXTRA SMALL badge might be too small to print out succesfully, but my resin printer printed it very nicely.
History:
Harland & Wolff is a shipyard, specialising in ship repair, conversion, located in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Harland & Wolff is famous for having built the majority of the ocean liners for the White Star Line.
Well-known ships built by Harland & Wolff include the Olympic-class trio: - RMS Titanic,
- RMS Olympic
- RMS Britannic
But also the Royal Navy's HMS Belfast, Royal Mail Line's Andes, Shaw Savill's Southern Cross, Union-Castle's RMS Pendennis Castle, and P&O's Canberra were made by H&W.
You have to paint this badge yourself, but it is quite easy paint job, if you first do a primer paint and then just add carefully some wax or oil paints to the texts with a finger.
Remember to clean the badge before applying paints as Shapeways instruct!
