Model making is my hobby. I have enjoyed this hobby for many years. The parts in my shop were designed by me for my own projects. I decided to make them available for others to use.
Over the years I have been asked many time which items for painting and assembling my model I recomend. The following is some of the items I
use:The standard U.S. World War II aircraft-laid bottom mine was exported postwar, and it was used during the Vietnam War. It is no longer in U.S. service (Mod 0 withdrawn in 1970, Mod 2 withdrawn in 1974). Weight was 2000 lb total (1234 lb of TPX or 1200 lb of HBX). Dimensions: 22.4 x 87.2-93 in (depending on flight gear), i.e., roughly the size of the contemporary aerial torpedo Mk 13. In 1980 new flight gear was being issued to permit this mine to be carried at high speeds. Mod 1 was acoustic, Mod 2 pressure/magnetic.
