Petal-faced Breeker

A twisted amalgamation of predatory birds and chitinous beetles, the Breeker is an alien lifeform on a world of similar insect-like hybrids. Armed with sharp rows of teeth that rend flesh from bone and powerful legs made to stun or cripple its prey this creature is more than equipped to survive. One of its most dazzling features is its repurposed wings. Once used in flight these wings are now used to balance the creature while running, as a magnificent display to attract mates, as well as a defense mechanism to increase the creatures apparent size.
