This item was inspired by the enigmatic Ptolemaic Period serpentine D20 thought to be over 2000 years old (
https://io9.gizmodo.com/is-this-the-oldest-d20-on-earth-5958203). While the people who created that archaeological relic are long dead the die lives on, with only some of the symbols being decipherable. This made me think: shouldn't we be designing future-proof dice that can be used thousands of years from now?
Using my 'hollow D20' as a template I redesigned almost every aspect of the model, further optimizing the structure's strength while minimizing weight. Then I designed a unary numeral system composed of equilateral triangles, only calling on my 3-step "Triceratops" algorithm (http://neotoy.info/2015.html#mapping-part-12) to ensure it could be easily decoded millennia from now.
Since each number is represented by triangles using the universal language of mathematics, each numeral can be deciphered easily without any foreknowledge of how or why it was made. Lastly I balanced each face by removing additional triangles from the outer edges. This insures fairness and equal probability with each roll.
