This is the Center Brace for the dual Search and Rescue Boxes. The Right Side and Left Side SAR Box are also required
This is my submission and design for the DJI Phantom 4 Search and Rescue contest. It is a Search and Rescue container that allows placement of critical supplies in dual box chambers which can include but not limited to medical supplies, phone, walkie talkie, protein bars, drinking water, fishing hooks, and more...
This Search and Rescue Box Kit is designed to be simple to print, and more importantly, a solution that will actually work as intended. By attaching two 2-liter plastic bottles to the sides of the Rescue Box using cable/zip ties into the integrated cable slots, they will serve as boyant pontoons. These pontoons will allow the Phantom 4 to easily float in bodies of water including rough seas. The Rescue box is elevated above the floating bottles to minimize water seepage into the supplies contained within the dual boxes. The Phantom 4 sits above the rescue box platform to further prevent water damage to the camera and other Phantom 4 components. The camera and VPS system is unobstructed by the rescue box so are fully functional. The rescue box has 2 large hinged doors to tightly seal critical contents from water. The plastic bottles can be removed for land use and the rescue box platform will keep the Phantom 4 elevated and camera gimbal protected from hard landings. The middle brace between the Dual Rescue Boxes can be used to tow items such as ropes and life vests with the use of a carabiner clip to quickly detach items. This Dual Rescue Box and Floatation Platform provides a versatile and ideal solution to supplying essential payloads for Emergency Search and Rescue purposes. It can be 3D printed in White or SAR Orange for high visibility.
