I was digging through my attic and found my old Yokomo YZ-10 (orginal run circa 1988) that I bought and built when I was a kid. I got the itch to restore it and started looking to see what could be upgraded.
The body was very beat up and my painting skills back then was pretty awful. So I set out to replace it with one of the new reproductions avilable online now. As part of that, I really wanted to avoid drilling holes for the hood pins on the front and rear bulkheads since i NEVER use them anyway - I use the velcro to hold the body to the lower chassie tray.
So, dusting off my CAD skills, I was able to recreate the part with a digital caliper. I skipped adding the hood pin. Also, this version does not have a Yokomo logo drapped across the top like the other version that I orginally created here:
