Product Description
This is another form which occurs in nature and is easily modeled as a formula, because the organism always needs a similarly shaped home as it grows. This shell was created in Mathematica (a combination of trig and exponent formula; see the Seashell notebook available from Wolfram), cleaned and solidified.in Meshlab. The mesh was created by a routine which perforates the polygons to a minimum width; their edges were thickened by the "marching cubes" algorithm. It is printable in white or colored plastic, and metals which accept a .9mm minimum dimension.
