Product Description
This is an HO-Scale (1:87) representation of a 25,000 pound rated truck bed mounted fifth wheel hitch. It is designed to be used with a fifth wheel-style trailer.
Loosely modeled after several popular brands of hitch, this is representative of a 25k pound hitch. Designed to fit between the fender wells on several popular HO-scale models (Both mass produced, and from other Shapeways vendors) the hitch should rest so that the hole for the kingpin is directly above the axle. This model features semi-scale material thickness and will be functional with upcoming fifth wheel trailers.
Designers Note: This is a finely detailed, miniature scale model. It is small, delicate and fragile. It is my reccomendation that this model not be treated as a toy.
