Overview
Mount your Garmin 1040 in front of your handlebars with the Specialized integrated stem mount system. The new Specialized stem faceplate comes with a slot in the centre and a retained nut that provides a secure point to attach the mount. If you dont already have the retained nut, that's usually supplied with the Specialized stem or OEM Garmin Mount, you can use a simple M4 tee nut. Feel free to contact us for more information.
Theis mount is designed for the largest Garmin Edge 1040 device but will suit all Garmin Edge devices. It is extremely strong and stiff, keeping your device securely positioned in front of your stem.
The Garmin male interface underneath allows additional devices such as Garmin Varia smart lights to be attached. We always recommed tethering devices when using the Garmin male interface, just to ensure devices remain secure.
Application
Fitting the MagCAD mount is a simple process. Simply bolt through your Specialized stem faceplate into the retained nut and rotate the mount to your preferred orientation.
Please Note: When mounting multiple devices off one mount we recommend using a tether just for extra security.
The below hardware is also required and very simple to source locally:
- 1x M4x16mm cap screw.
- 1x M4 tee nut (alternative to OEM Specialized retained nut).
