Product Description
This is a repair for certain Technics turntables who have a dust cover with 2 attached "lips" that go into the hinges. However, many times these lips have broken off since it's not a sturdy design. But 3D printing provides an answer!
This repair requires you to cut the lip and the triangular supports off completely. Use tape to protect your cover to prevent scratches. I used a small jigsaw to cut off the remaining lip, and cut the remains off flush with a Dremel tool and a sharp knife. Take your time!
Drill 5.5 or 6 mm holes in your cover using the printed parts as templates.
You will need 4 bolts and 4 nuts (nyloc is advised). All must be 5mm. I use 16mm bolts. You will also need a 5.5 or 6 mm metal or wood drill. Pre-drilling with a very small drill (1 mm) can help.
This product replaces only one hinge, so order 2 if you need a pair.
