If you have any of the wonderful Contour T-Rail board mounts and you want to continue using them with your Sony HDR-AZ1, use of this adapter will provide the shortest, most direct and stable mounting platform for your camera. The Contour T-Rail mount is inline with your Sony AZ1 mount.
