Fibonacci earrings

These hollow spheres, like a sunflower, are composed of 199 hexagonal 'seeds' which partially overlap and form Fibonacci sparals. There is a nice photo  of a Chamomile flower with a similar arrangement which is visible if you click on the 'red strong and flexible' material option. It shows the arrangement of the outer seed spirals as 21 blue spirals and 13 aqua spirals, consecutive Fibonacci numbers. The holes at the equator (18 missing seeds) allow the printing powder to be removed from the sphere, and the ear wire to be attached with a jump ring.
