Catenary Pole Economy Size

O Scale, 1/4 inch scale, 1/48, Pennsylvania Railroad, double track, "K" Braced catenary pole. This pole is modeled after the poles found on the PRR between Philadelphia and Harrisburg, PA. This is an "economy" pole. This pole is built to minimum dimensions to keep the price down. The columns are 12 scale inches square (vice at prototype's 14 scale inches); the arch is 6 5/8 inches high and 8 inches wide. Full rivet detail on the "K" braces, as seen in the photos. These poles are good if they are going to be used as scenery as they are too flexible to support operational catenary. Test prints were done in white, strong and flexible and alumide. The white, strong and flexible seems to be the better material. Order one to make sure that the design and material meets your need before ordering several.
