Product Description
In the 1980's the Polish Army decided to upgrade some of their T-55 Tanks to increase it's military potential while saving funds and promoting domestic industry. Among other changes they installed a fire control computer with a laser rangefinder and crosswind sensor, smoke grenades and laser radiation sensors. Armor was also strenghtened with applique composite panels on the hull bottom, front and turret front. The resulting tank was designated T-55AM Merida.
This set is meant to update Revell 3306 1:72 T-55AM set (sold separately!) with parts needed to build a Polish version of the T-55AM - it has the sight/laser rangefinder, smoke grenade launcher bases and tubes, crosswind sensor and stowage boxes.
