00 Scale North Star Broad Gauge Locomotive

A commission piece, this model is a 00 Scale enlargement of my N Gauge broad gauge ‘North Star’, suitably modified to give scale tolerances.  Also available is a matching tender.  It has been designed for 28mm-gauge track and the wheel dimensions below, but there is sufficient space for slight variation if necessary.  

IMPORTANT: while most models available here have been pre-tested and known to work, this scratch-aid has not been printed/tested by myself, so while the measurements appear correct it is considered strictly experimental.  

(The model is offered in WSF and FED; the former is cheaper but with a coarser finish while the latter is more expensive but with crisper detail.)

Necessary to Complete:

Wheels – leading (16mm including flanges) and drivers (29mm including flanges) to be regauged to 28mm
(NB axles to be 2mm front and reat and c.3.75mm for drivers)
Loco-tender coupling
Handrails (locations pre-drilled)
Safety valve (drill point marked)
Reverser lever (its base is pre-printed)
Wheel guards (locating points included)
