Product Description
A simple chassis to add a crystal chamber beneath the pommel of Ultrasabers' Plo Koon 'Clan' style hilt, the Dorinian.
This chassis accepts the Proffie v1.5 or 2.2 soundboard, an 18650 pre-wired battery and a 28mm bass speaker.
Also provided is a holder for the LED heatsink or neopixel blade connector. This should be detached from the chassis by snipping the small connecting lugs.
The crystal is illuminated by a 5mm common-anode RGB LED. It is recommended that the legs be cut as short as possible and 30 or 32 awg wires soldered onto them, with no exposed metal parts protruding from the LED mounting bore that the pommel could catch on when fitting.
There is a channel around the speaker through which the wires can be routed to the soundboard.
Apart from the crystal, the chassis is intended to be fully enclosed. It is recommended that a hole be drilled and tapped in the hilt and a grub screw used to secure the chassis in the hilt. Note also that provision will need to be made externally for a recharge port.
