Ark Royal Class 1/7000 Attack Wing

The Ark Royal Class carrier appeared in the "Starfleet Command II: Empires at War" and "Starfleet Command: Orion Pirates" video games. Memory Beta calls it to be the Ranger Class, because the list from which the games could randomly pick a ship's name, had the USS Ranger with a lower registry number. But this doesn't mean it also was the first ship of its type put into service. Following naval traditions, the first ship put into service becomes the class ship, not the first started to be built. It would also contradict an actual Ranger Class from the same game, and it seems that on the internet the USS Ark Royal is widely accepted being the actual class ship for this.
Memory Beta doesn't give a size. The Klingon Academy II Wiki however states a length of 792m. Well, this seems way too big. Not only makes it this TMP era ship larger than a Galaxy Class (in size and in volume) it also doesn't correspond with the visible window rows on the outside. There are 3 rows of windows in the saucer edge. The Constitution Refit does have two there and that rim is about 6m thick for that. At 792m, the rim on the Ark Royal would be thick enough for 4–5 decks. I'm inclined to ignore the size given at that Wiki, especially as they also didn't get the armament right. The Wiki says there are 3 phaser banks and 2 torpedo launchers. But the texture on the original game model does show 3 dual phaser turrets on the top of the saucer and also 3 on the bottom. There are 2 torpedo tubes to the front and 2 to the aft.
I found a fan site, where the ship is displayed next to the model of the Constitution from the same game. The length of 566.49m there sets the saucer rim to an almost perfect 9.5m for 3 decks, and the overall pattern of windows fits nicely to a reasonable sized deck structure. So i used that length for this model. I took a few liberties with some details. Like adding 2 additional phase banks to the rear of the ship. It still is a large ship, and with it having to stand relatively still during launching and landing of the fighters, the rear seemed to be dangerously unprotected.
