Currently 93 of 100 editions are available (1st & 2nd editions are sold out).
King Cuts George Lucas. This is a 4.5 inch / 11.4 cm version of my sculpture of George Lucas as the Wampa with the beating heart from Temple of Doom. It's the follow up 3rd version to my previous editions depicting George Lucas as Jabba the Hutt. 80% of the price covers the 3D-printed material itself, 20% I added for my labor with the 3D model. This edition will no longer be available when 100 prints have been made.
What's the Story? George Lucas is encapsulated by
Star Wars. It's his entire world. The Wampa envelops his skin. If there's no way out there's no reason to suffer. He likes his world of isolated destruction. He's obviously well fed by it. Just don't try to take anything from the George. You might suffer the same fate as a
Temple of Doom's beating heart.
Working the 3D Model. This 3D-print is based on a 3D scan of a wood sculpture I made. I altered and re-sculpted the 3D model with the 3D-modelling software ZBrush. I worked to lower the cost & meet the technical spec's. Including the 3D-scan, patching, re-sculpting details & color 'paint' job, it took me about 18 hours to develop this for 3D printing here.
The Wood Carvings. See more about my original wood carving that the Wampalucas is based on
here at my website. The original 18 inch sculpture took me weeks to carve from scratch in western red & yellow cedar wood, then paint in acrylic. It was part of my
"King Cuts" series of wood carvings depicting famous film directors mashed with their characters. I'm working on more 3D-print editions from this series.
