These goggles give you the superpower of enhanced 3D vision! Mirrors effectively separate your eyes approximately three times further apart than normal. This gives you the ability to directly see in stereo out to three times the normal limit of around 50 feet. This God's eye view makes everything seem tiny even though the images are remain at normal scale.
Warning! Do not wear these goggles when operating any vehicle or performing any activity with physical risk to yourself or others! It is a novelty only and I make no claim as to its suitability for any task. Continue to be especially cautious for several minutes after removing the goggles as it will take your brain a while to readjust. Even walking can be difficult after extended wear.
The printed part is designed to hold mirrors that are 1.4mm thick (1/16 inch). Something like
this. Download and print
this mirror template PDF to use when cutting the mirrors. 4 inch mirrors are not quite large enough for a full view but it's OK if they're a little truncated as that makes them lighter. I attached the assembly to a pair of standard safety goggles using hot glue. Attaching only near the center allows the goggles to wrap comfortably around your head. Wearing the strap high on the back of your head will help support the weight against your cheeks.
