Product Description
Collectively called the Town class; divided into 3 groups:
Southampton group - base design; face of bridge somewhat "flat"; Only HACS on aft structure.
Ships in group: Newcastle, Southampton, Sheffield, Glasgow, and Birmingham
Gloucester group - improved from the previous group are mostly internal; round bridge face; extra director on aft structure.
Ships in group: Liverpool, Manchester, and Gloucester.
Edinburgh group - longer than preceeding groups, reworked external arrangement, has extra 2 turrets of dual QF 4 in.
Ships in group: Belfast and Edinburgh
Set contains:
1x Southampton[1941]
4x Glasgow[1942]
3x Manchester[1942]
2x Belfast[1942]
