The Sharkbone 220 Slant Bar Safety Razor is designed for the serious wet shaver. Slant bar razors are well-known for their extra efficiency due to the guillotine action of the angled blade against the base of the hair. Beyond efficiency, the Sharkbone represents a milestone in comfort and affordability.
The Sharkbone consists of two pieces produced by 3D printing technologies. In addition to these, you will need an imperial 10-32x3" flat-head machine screw and a matching nut to fasten the pieces together. The drive of the machine screw does not matter. Wingnuts are easily handled with wet, soapy hands, but you might also consider a knurled thumb nut with a flange for a classier look. If you wish to add weight or length to the razor, consider a coupling nut. If, for some reason, you cannot find these fasteners at your local hardware store, consider contacting your local research or industrial supply store. In addition to having a wider variety of fastener sizes, they will also have a wider selection of materials which might work better with the razor, such as brass or stainless steel. If you still have trouble finding a 10-32x3" machine screw, then you may substitute a 10-24x3" machine screw. Imperial and metric parts are not interchangeable. The angle of the machine screw head is different.
Unfortunately, Shapeways is a 3D printing service and cannot provide you with the hardware in the package.
