Shakar Very, very cool stuff. Beautiful shaping and excellent use of repeating patterns (like the slits on top matching the eye design). Reminds me of a few concept art pieces from G1 and G2.
Shakar @PunkDrunk182Thanks for answering! Getting lost in everyday's predicaments happens to everyone. I'm just saddened when real life takes over and interesting projects get dropped. So I'm glad this won't be the case.
I think I can speak for many fans when I say that for the most part the 2008 Toa and their Kanohi were disappointments. Truth is, though, I'm far more into the 2001 Mata Kanohi than the Kanohi Nuva- their organic and overly detailed visual language has never sat well with me. I'm sure the 2002 and 2008 designs factored into your work, but your Akaku to me actually looks like a proper upgrade of the 2001 version, unlike those two redesigns. So bottom line that's why I'm so curious to see the others. Maybe I'll finally see iterations of the Kanohi Nuva I actually truly like.
Shakar Do you plan on continuing this? I'm very curious to see a new take on the adaptive Kanohi Nuva, one that takes a different approach from 2008.
