Product Description
Pure steampunk fantasy right here. As you may know, many sailing frigates, beginning in the mid 19th century, were fitted with steam engines and screws. Now then, what if steam engines were fitted to ships much earlier? What if shipbuilding techniques never changed, and galleons were still commonplace in later centuries? The answer is the same: something like this. This model is very similar to my English galleon, except the mainmast is farther forward to make room for the funnel, and there is a single jib. As you can probably imagine, this is only the first of many sailing steamers I intend to build.
