Lots of you asked so we listened!
Here is V3.1 of our Traxxas TRX4 portal axle servo mount and 4 link adapter.
This version does NOT brace off the panhard link so you can get lower and skinnier. It uses the inside of the lower link mount for a side brace. Weighing in around 35 grams it adds a little weight down low without going crazy.
Meant for custom builds. NOT for stock chassis trx4 unless you're crafty and determined, it has been done numerous times.
Compared to V3 we increased room for bigger servos, added an additional brace on the 4 link, and tweaked the looks to match our other mounts.
You'll need:
M3x45mm with nut for the upper links
4x M3x~12mm with nut for the servo
M3x25mm with nut for the link mount brace
Shapeways states a +/- 5% tolerance so some minor sanding or shimming may be necessary. We've done a lot of metal parts and shapeways usually nails the dimensions. The 20 day lead time is usually about 2x what it takes. In all of our orders we've only had one take longer than 11 days from order to shipping.
