1/700 Tiamarda Ironclad Invictus

The Invictus-class battleship is the powerhouse of the Karadenian navy.  The main turrets are armed with twin 380-mm guns, and the ship is used as a dreadnought-killer, in spite of being much smaller than any contemporary dreadnoughts.  Each of the main turrets is deliberately offset, a design practise that is by no means unique.  In the case of the Invictus-class, the turrets are offset to allow more room for the crew to move both above and below decks.  The turrets themselves are open in the rear, which was standard practise for smaller gun turrets, but unusual for larger turrets.  Nonetheless, there is sufficient protection for the gunners.  Overall, the Invictus-class battleships, while antiquated, were well-built and capable of holding their own against larger, more modern ships in combat, long enough to deal some serious damage.
