Product Description
These front arms are direct replacements for the Tamiya FF01 kit front arms, part D10. They use a slightly different shape and thicker material in places to optimise them for 3D printing, and whilst they aren't quite a strong as the originals, they're plenty strong enough for running and racing. I have run my prototypes in Versatile Plastic.
These particular arms offer up to 2mm of forward wheelbase adjustment, which can improve the handling of your FF01 by reducing the front motor overhang. Or it can get your wheels lined up with your shell just so. Install the front upright as you would on the original part, and install 2mm of spacers in your chosen combination to get the wheel where you want it. A 2mm spacer ahead of the c hub is the kit position (see photo). If you use the wheelbase adjustment to push the wheel forwards, the kit plastic top arms won't fit without adding a matching spacer at the attachment to the C-hub, or using a camber link to replace it.
Cut the parts from the sprues holding them together. You need to ream the pivot shaft/screwpin holes to 3mm, and tap the shock mount holes to M3. You might need to sand the inside faces of the pivot lugs where they meet the chassis and the c hub, depending on tolerances.
