A brutal combination of the ubiquitous chainsword and the ancient technology of putting a slab of metal between the bearer and the person trying to kill them, the Chainshield is a decidedly rare weapon amongst the arsenal of mankind. This variant features a multi-headed serpent of myth, the Hydra, with a chain across its midst and a pair of symbols of an ancient alphabet. Who knows what secretive meaning they may hold?
The Right-handed Chainshield (Hydra Chain design) is designed to be compatible with 28mm heroic scale miniatures, particularly those of a more technologically advanced design, and could represent a variety of weapons and shield options. They are available only from White Wyvern Designs as individual parts (Small) or sets of 5 (Medium), 10 (Large) or 20 (Extra Large).
Hydra Chain design Chainshields are also available in a Left-handed format, and sets are available entirely for one version or as a mixed set.
