3125 Scale General Commercial Platform with Pods

When a new colony planet reached the point of being able to export products or resources, the commercial platform in orbit no longer needed its augment modules which had been used in the survey phase. These were then replaced by cargo pods, which provided space for handling shipments to and from the colony's surface. Ships could leave cargo in the pods (or freighters could leave entire pods of imports while picking up entire pods of exports). In many cases, one pod was used for orbital storage while the other was imported goods being unloaded and then refilled with exported goods brought to orbit by transporter or shuttlecraft.

This base is available in a variety of materials. Ships are unpainted, use standard flight stands available from many sources, and, while designed for gaming, make fine display pieces.
