you can use your originial scx24 pivot balls.
with these rod ends you can build your own strong links.
you need m2 threaded rod
You can also use 2-56 threaded rods and slightly drill the holes
i made the holes 6mm for a strong connection.
it comes with 40 rod ends so you have a lot of spare parts or can use it for 2-3 cars
