FMS FCX24 K5 Blazer Hinge Mount with Bumper

This is a hinge-mounting system for the FMS FCX24 K5 Blazer body. This allows for the body to remain attached to the chassis while providing access to the chassis components underneath. Very helpful when you need to change batteries or do repairs out on the trail, as the body easily swings up and out of the way. The stock front mounting clips will still function with this upgrade. This model also provides a tough rear bumper that slides well on rocks, while providing plenty protection for  the body. The bumper includes 2 D-rings for attaching shackles if desired.

The item ships as a single unit from Shapeways. To install, cut off the small sprues holding the components together. These include the chassis mount, the body swing arm/rear bumper, and two rectangular washers for securing the chssis mount to the chassis. Once the peices are separated, use 2 M2 5mm bolts (like those that come with the FCX24)  to attach the chassis mount to the body swing-arm/bumper (holes are provided). Then remove the rear clip harness that comes installed on the K5 body and replace with the chassis mount/swing arm assembly (you can use the same bolts that were used to attch the original clip harness). 

This kit does not include M2 5mm hex bolts, and you will need 2 in addition to the two that mount the stock clip harness. Please note: the holes in the hinge mount may need to be drilled out  a bit as dust from the printing process sometimes remains in the holes.
