Product Description
The side mirrors are the first bits to break off, especially for bad drivers like myself, so I created these for a 1:20 scale Toyota 4x4 pickup body I was using on an Axial SCX24 Deadbolt.
These are meant to be used in a flexible mounting system.
What you'll need:
1. 2 small strips of 1mm or 1/25inch thick rubber sheet, 4mmx15mm each
2. an M1.4 screw.
Poke a hole in the strip where you want to attach the mirror, somewhere right in the middle of the strip, then use an M1.4 6mm screw (like you find in scx24 kits) to secure the mirror to the strip, not overtightening of course. Then, line up the mirror in the forward bottom corners of the side windows, flipping the rubber strip to the inside of the body, and glue the two ends of the strip flat against the inside of the body, one end on the inside of the forward pillar and the other on the inside of the door, careful not to glue your finger to your windsheild like I've done many times. This will keep it in position while allowing the mirror to retract into the body upon impact.
Each order comes with 12 side mirrors, 6 per side.
