2623 - Yokomo YZ-2 elephant trunk chassis brace

JConcepts has added a new item to the Shapeways store for Yokomo YZ-2 owners using a laydown transmission. The Elephant Trunk style chassis brace replaces the stock unit and is more flexible than the stock piece. Given today’s racing and the desire for more traction while utilizing the laydown transmission, JConcepts spent design time and racer time with top racers for an alternative without giving up on stock mounting locations or geometry. The chassis brace also includes an extended ledge which minimizes the issue associated with the standard battery brace popping out during hard landings and crashes. 

The item is being offered in the Shapeways store as an early option to team drivers and consumers racing the Yokomo YZ-2.

JConcepts offers a chassis brace for the Yokomo YZ-2  line of vehicles with laydown transmission. The Elephant Trunk design uses a single column support which promotes flex characteristics giving traction gains associated with these types of adjustments. With the single post, there is also increased clearance around the motor and tabs for easier soldering and wire routing. The build-in ledge helps minimize issues with the battery brace popping out during hard landings and crashes. The mount attaches at the top and bottom with stock hardware (not included).
