Product Description
This is a Prick spur from a Pagan Grave.
The original was made of Iron and was found in Middle Harling, just outside of Thetford in Norfolk, UK. It is a highly unusual shape for prick spurs of the period, which are typically made in a totally different way.
The Man in the burial was likely a Danish settler and the grave is dated to the Late ninth or early tenth century AD.
The Replica is near enough 1:1 and is designed as an aid for Blacksmiths wishing to produce replicas.
I have not yet received my copy of this and so I cannot vouch for its quality or suitability for purpose - but I will update this description when I have confirmed all is right and well.
Details of the Burial can be found on pages 79 and 80
I Have only made it available in a Basic plastic as it is not a functional item and is designed to be used as a 3D guide on making spurs such as this one.
